Welcome to RoleMetric. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the RoleMetric website, applications, APIs, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Astyne LLC (“Astyne,” “RoleMetric,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum legal age required in your jurisdiction, to use RoleMetric. If you are under the age of majority, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

By using the Service, you represent that:

02About RoleMetric

RoleMetric is an AI-powered career platform designed to help users improve resumes, analyze job descriptions, estimate applicant tracking system (ATS) compatibility, generate career recommendations, and provide related employment assistance.

RoleMetric does not:

• Guarantee interviews.
• Guarantee employment.
• Guarantee any ATS score or compatibility score reflects an employer’s actual screening system.
• Guarantee that resume suggestions will improve hiring outcomes.

All recommendations should be considered informational only.

03User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.

You agree to:

• Keep your credentials confidential.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
• Accept responsibility for activities occurring under your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

04User Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to RoleMetric, including but not limited to:

• Resumes
• CVs
• Cover letters
• Portfolios
• Job descriptions
• Personal notes
• Uploaded documents
• Career information
• Employment history
• Education history
• Skills
• Certifications
• AI prompts
• Generated documents

By uploading content, you grant Astyne and its partners a limited, non-exclusive license to:

• Store your content.
• Process your content.
• Analyze your content.
• Generate AI responses.
• Improve requested features.
• Provide synchronization between your devices.
• Enable collaboration features where applicable.

This license exists solely for operating and improving the Service and ends when your content is permanently deleted, except where retention is legally required.

05Privacy

Your privacy matters.

We may retain your uploaded resumes, job descriptions, generated documents, and account information to operate the Service, enable your workspace, improve your experience, and allow you to access your content across devices.

We do not sell your personal information or uploaded resumes to advertisers, recruiters, or third parties.

06AI-Generated Content

RoleMetric uses artificial intelligence to analyze and generate content.

AI-generated content may:

• Be inaccurate.
• Contain factual mistakes.
• Misinterpret uploaded information.
• Produce incomplete recommendations.
• Generate repetitive or incorrect responses.

You are solely responsible for reviewing all generated content before submitting resumes or job applications.

RoleMetric is not responsible for employment decisions made by employers.

07Resume Scores and ATS Analysis

ATS scores, compatibility ratings, resume recommendations, keyword suggestions, and match percentages are proprietary estimates generated by RoleMetric.

They should not be interpreted as:

• Official ATS results.
• Employer evaluations.
• Hiring decisions.
• Recruiter opinions.

Different employers use different hiring systems that may produce substantially different results.

08Subscription Plans

Certain features require a paid subscription.

Subscriptions may include:

• Monthly plans
• Quarterly plans
• Annual plans
• Promotional plans
• Free trials (if offered)

Available features and pricing may change over time.

09Billing

Paid subscriptions are processed securely through Stripe.

By purchasing a subscription, you authorize Stripe to charge your selected payment method for recurring subscription fees until canceled.

RoleMetric does not directly store your full payment card information.

Billing, payment processing, fraud prevention, and certain financial information are handled by Stripe in accordance with Stripe’s terms and privacy practices.

Applicable taxes may be added where required.

10Renewals

Unless canceled before renewal, subscriptions automatically renew at the applicable billing interval.

You authorize recurring charges until cancellation.

11Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the payment platform used for purchase.

Cancellation prevents future renewals.

Unless required by applicable law, previously paid subscription fees are non-refundable.

12Refund Policy

Except where required by law:

• Subscription payments are non-refundable.
• Partial billing periods are not refunded.
• Unused subscription time is not refunded.
• Promotional purchases may have separate terms.

We may issue refunds at our sole discretion.

13Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload malicious software.

• Scrape the platform at scale.
• Abuse APIs.

• Upload content you do not have rights to use.
• Use automated bots to overload the Service.

• Use RoleMetric for illegal activities.

14Employment Decisions

RoleMetric does not hire candidates, recruit employees, or represent employers.

Any hiring decision is made solely by employers.

We are not responsible for:

• Rejections
• Hiring delays
• Missed interviews
• Lost employment opportunities
• Salary negotiations
• Recruiter communications

15Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, branding, design, user interface, algorithms, graphics, trademarks, logos, AI workflows, documentation, and proprietary technologies, is owned by Astyne LLC or its licensors.

These Terms do not grant you ownership of the Service.

You may not copy, redistribute, modify, sell, sublicense, or exploit any portion of the Service except as expressly permitted.

16Feedback

If you submit suggestions, feature requests, bug reports, or other feedback, you grant Astyne a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate that feedback without compensation.

17Third-Party Services

RoleMetric may integrate with third-party providers including AI model providers, authentication services, analytics providers, cloud hosting providers, payment processors, document processing tools, and other infrastructure partners.

Your use of those services may also be subject to their respective terms and policies.

We are not responsible for third-party services beyond our reasonable control.

18Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

The Service may be unavailable due to:

• Maintenance
• Security updates
• Network failures
• Third-party outages
• Infrastructure issues
• Unexpected technical failures

Features may be added, modified, or removed at any time.

19Beta Features

Certain features may be marked as experimental, preview, or beta.

These features may:

• Change significantly.
• Be removed.
• Contain bugs.
• Produce inaccurate results.

Beta features are provided “as is.”

20Account Suspension

We may suspend or terminate accounts if we reasonably believe you:

• Violate these Terms.
• Abuse the Service.
• Engage in fraudulent activity.
• Harm other users.
• Attempt to bypass subscription restrictions.
• Interfere with the security or operation of the platform.

21Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time.

Certain provisions, including intellectual property, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitation of liability, dispute resolution, and indemnification, survive termination.

22Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ASTYNE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR RELIABILITY.

23Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ASTYNE, ROLEMETRIC, ITS EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS, MEMBERS, AFFILIATES, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOST DATA, LOST EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ASTYNE’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO ROLEMETRIC DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).

24Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Astyne LLC, its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and licensors from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service.
• Your uploaded content.
• Your violation of these Terms.
• Your violation of applicable law.
• Your infringement of another person’s rights.

25Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

26Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time.

When material changes are made, we will update the “Last Updated” date and may provide additional notice where required.

Continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

27Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

28Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional policies incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Astyne regarding the Service.
